Monastero Coenobium is a blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia & Verdicchio made by Trappist Nuns from organic vineyards in Lazio. The Nuns were instructed by Paolo Bea's Son, Giampiero Bea to allow extended periods of skin contact to extract more flavor and complexity into the wine. Although they do not have an official organic certification, the nuns use organic methods of agriculture and care very much about the environment. The resulting wine shows lovely rich flavors of mineral, white fruits, citrus, nuts and a hint of funk. 

Natural, organic & could be considered an orange wine.
