100% Arneis, 30% of which see skin contact maceration for 2 days, the rest directly pressed, then aged on the lees for 3 months in stainless steel. The ‘little wolf’ (in local dialect), 'Luet' is perhaps more a wolf in sheep’s clothing – made in a style that brings out the grape's richness and texture but that gently nips at you nonetheless. Floral scents of black locust flower, orange blossom and a whiff of aromatic herbs, backed up by a round but elegantly structured palate of white peach, white currant, and sage. Soft acidity lifts the creamy flavors and while this may seem a heftier version of Arneis, plenty of zippy lemon zest and a just-firm-enough mineral backbone keep things lively.
