Founded 1957 in Nago, Okinawa during the American occupation of Okinawa, Orion Breweries began making beer in order to provide jobs to young Okinawan citizens and hopefully improve the local economy. Now, their beer has become #1 in Okinawa and is enjoyed internationally. To meet the ever-changing needs of their loyal customers, they challenge themselves everyday with "safety and security of the customer" as their motto.
