100% Frappato ("nerocapitano" is a local name for this native red grape varietal). Spontaneous fermentation without temperature control. 2 weeks skin maceration. Aged in cement tanks. Natural malolactic fermentation. No added sulfur and no filtering or fining. This is a heartier take on a Frappato wine from Sicily!
About Lamoresca: La Moresca is a family winery located in the southernmost corner of the province of Catania. Their estate is the only winery for roughly 50 square km’s and Filippo and his family work the land entirely by hand. Filippo spent many years making wine with Frank Cornelissen, celebrated for his meticulous natural wines on nearby Etna. Lamoresca wines are made from grapes grown without chemicals and without additions or filtrations in the winery.
